The Sixth International Symposium on Life-Cycle Civil Engineering (IALCCE 2018) was held in Ghent, Belgium, on October 28-31, 2018 (http://www.ialcce2018.org). The proceedings of IALCCE 2018 have been published by CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group, as a set comprising a hardbound Book of extended abstracts and a USB card with 399 full papers, including the Fazlur R. Khan lecture, eight keynote lectures, and 390 technical contributions from 52 countries. The extended version of selected papers presented at the Symposium have been published in a Special Issue of the international peer-reviewed journal Structure and Infrastructure Engineering, Taylor & Francis.
