The Third International Symposium on Life-Cycle Civil Engineering (IALCCE 2012) was held in Vienna, Austria, on October 3-6, 2012 (http://www.ialcce2012.org). The proceedings of IALCCE 2012 have been published by CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group, as a set comprising a hardbound Book of extended abstracts and a DVD with 344 full papers, including the Fazlur R. Khan lecture, ten keynote lectures, and 333 technical contributions from 52 countries. The extended version of selected papers included in the proceedings have been published in a Special Issue of Structure and Infrastructure Engineering: Life-cycle performance of civil infrastructure systems, F. Biondini & A. Strauss (Eds.), Vol. 12, No. 7, 2016, 60 pages.
